At 53, Nigeria a as nation is yet to get her bearing right in terms of infrastructural development, quality education, security, stable power supply and the economy. As it is commonly said, that Nigeria is the only country that imports what she has and exports what she doesn't have.We are like a group of people living in the midst of plenty, yet, we wallow in lack of almost everything perceived as good. The question begging for an answer here is: "Are we under a curse?" The answer is, we are suffering from self-inflicted pains. This is as a result of voting the wrong people into power; we have  ignorantly put square pegs into round holes.
The only remedy to this national calamity, is to imbibe a spiritual- psycho-socio-political rebirth i.e to have a rethink and entrench positive change in all spheres of our national life.
As a social crusader  and a prophetic voice to the nation, I am glad to announce to Nigerians that our REDEMPTION is near. Many people may think the succour will come as an aftermath of the 2015 general elections in the country, but I am sorry to announce to you that 2015 will only provide the much needed platform for the change to come, the so-called Nigerian dream(s) will come true in 2019, and the dividends will start pouring in come 2020.
God bless Nigeria!

Mind Your "LIngua"

Language as a system of communication consisting of sounds, words and grammar, is human-specific i.e. it is basically about humans. One major fact about language is that , though it is dynamic, its changes must be based on strict observance and adherence to linguistic rules. Whenever languages are in contact, interference is bound to occur at all levels of linguistic description. The ability of an individual to be aware of this interference and not blunder grammatically marks him as having the mastery of the language.

The Child Marriage Saga!

According to the Advanced Learner's Dictionary, marriage is the legally accepted relationship between a woman and a man in which they live as husband and wife , or the official ceremony which results in this.
Anything short of the foregoing is socially and legally not acceptable. For a man to be married to a 13year old girl is an abomination and a criminal offence of child molestation, punishable by law. This is indeed a national disgrace, and would be a monumental national calamity if not stopped and checked.
As a nation,we are at a  cross-roads and a critical melting point, if  the people we have elected to represent and speak for us are going dumb and deaf on us.
The response  and reactions of Nigerians have been fantastic and must be commended. There have series of campaigns on various platforms against this evil, our hope therefore, is that the National Assembly would rise to the occasion to safe-guard our moral sanity.
May be we should educate our law makers  and remind them that the "evils that men do live after them" and most often than not, their children become the victims of their evil deeds. Also, they need to know that Nigeria is greater and bigger than certain individuals, therefore, they should represent the yearnings of the masses and not thieir  own selfish interests and evil desires.
Finally, I believe the key solution to this problem is education, when the masses are well educated, they won't tolerate bad leaders who have nothing to offer them.
This is a Clarion call to right-thinking Nigerians, who believe in the "Nigerian Dream", to rise and add their voices to the million voices crying against this evil.
Nigerians are saying stop this injustice against our children!
Long Live Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thus, there is a dramatic improvement on the dividend of terrestrial frequencies available when DVB-T2 is deployed.

Kaduna residents are now set to benefit from easy access to an increased number of channels, with enhanced picture and sound quality synonymous with digital television at a price they can afford.

Mrs. Elizabeth Amkpa, General Manager of GOtv says that the brand provides great family entertainment at a prize that everyone can afford: “GOtv is the best value for money pay television offering on DTT in Nigeria and it comes with a broad selection of local channels made in Africa for Africans “

She says that GOtv is delivered to homes in Nigerian via the use of the latest DVB-T2 technology which guarantees a one-off migration to the digital age: “With the use of DVB-T2 technology, GOtv gives subscribers a dramatic improvement on the dividend of terrestrial frequencies. With GOtv, Nigerians can experience the digital television revolution in the comfort of their homes because GOtv delivers a selection of exciting channels in great picture and sound quality.”

GOtv subscribers are encouraged to make use of the outside antennae: “We encourage subscribers to take advantage of the GOtenna that is provided to ensure increased signal strength and better protection against mobile phone and car interference,” urged Mrs. Amkpa. With GOtenna customers should expect uninterrupted viewing and excellent picture quality, especially in areas where the signal is too low for indoor antenna reception.

It offers subscribers both local and international channels and was launched by Details Nigeria in association with MultiChoice Nigeria to ensure that great affordable digital TV is accessible to everyone.

About DTT

DTT stands for Digital Terrestrial Television (or Transmission). It refers to the broadcasting of terrestrial television in a digital format. Currently, terrestrial broadcasting in most African countries is in an analogue format. Most countries are in the process of planning and implementing the migration from analogue to digital television.

Terrestrial television uses a network of transmission towers to relay the signal across the country. Each transmission tower has a specific area of coverage, and it is the network of coverage that provides television signals across the country.

Independence and The American Dream

As Americans celebrate their nation's independence today July 4, one of the questions begging for answers is "How real is the American dream?". You may want to ask,  if this question is relevant to the American people or not. My answer is yes, it is. It may shock you to know that an average American has his own problems facing him. These include unemployment, clamour for better access to health care and social security, terrorism, increase in crime rate among others.
It is absolutely true that there is no basis for comparison between Nigeria and America, yet as an outsider, I can categorically state that America has got to prove  their critics wrong,  that they remain a force to reckon with in the committee of  world nations.
Other issues begging for answers are the immigration policy, same sex marriage and America's  debt, especially the  $1.250 trillion owed to China.
Nevertheless, without any iota of doubt, America has positively impacted on the affairs of  the  world through its numerous development programmes and projects to the poor nations of the world. Also, it  has always been at the fore of the struggle to democratize the world. However, America remains one of the greatest nations of the world that Nigeria as a nation and our leaders should learn from.
Wishing all Americans Happy Independence day!

The Second Revolution:When The Masses Speak

The above picture shows Egyptians in their millions celebrating the ouster of  President Mohamed Morsi, who assumed office barely a year and a month ago, precisely on June 30, 2012. African leaders have got to learn from this, and resolve to be accountable to the people, since "Democracy" is the government of the people,by the people and for the people. Again, there is the need for them to know that the voice of the people is the voice of God.
There is no powerful leader outside of the one loved and respected by his people. Whenever a leader loses his respect and support from the people,he should be man enough to let go of power. The interesting thing about this scenario, is that the coup was called for and supported by the Egyptian masses. And indeed, it was a peaceful coup that is not without blood, especially of the people that laid down their lives for this 2nd revolution.

Taking The First Step

Just as the saying goes "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step", no one talks about ending a task without starting it.
It is interesting to know that the most difficult part of a task is its beginning, and that the solution to every problem is embedded in the problem.
As evident in babies at birth, their first contact with the "real world"  is usually not palatable to them.
Starting what you are reading now was actually not very easy at the initial stage; it took determination, encouragement from friends and colleagues coupled with a  'never say die" spirit.
Even if you fail at the very first attempt, don't give up; work at it again and you would be amazed by the eventual outcome and result you get from your effort. It is better to try and fail than not trying at all.
Consider Abraham Lincoln's story of never giving up, which paid off for him at the end.
Remember,winners don't quit and quitters don't win!
It is high time you went all the way living your dream rather than leaving it!
