Eagles Seek Not Yet Repose....

The Super Eagles' victory over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in yesterday's Mandela Challenge contest, though not an indication that the eagles have arrived, is a huge success and a welcome development in reclaiming and boosting the image of the Eagles as the "Giants of African Football"(Thanks to the hero of the match, Uche nwafor for his double). Nevertheless, both the technical crew members and players should not overstay in the euphoria of celebration and victory.
The Stephen Keshi led-team should leverage on the victory and the positive image derived from it to prepare for future challenges and prove their critics wrong. One area that must be handled right is the injection of  home-based players into the team now that Keshi seems to have free hands to manage the team. However, this should be done without fear or favour of "the powers that be".
Another important aspect that must not be treated with levity is funding and sponsorship of camping and training sessions by the government. As it is widely agreed upon, FOOTBALL/SOCCER is big business and has a huge return on investment.
Finally, the eagles should be made to know that the journey to victory has just begun and should remain focused, dogged and determined to extend their reign from Africa to the World.
Let the Eagles Keep Soaring High!
